Message: Some like the mod, others don't.
However, you move it FARTHER away from the TB, not closer.
I'm pretty sure that there is a good section on:
www.speadtweaks.net regarding the IAT and where it is on the different engines, and tips on relocating it.
Good luck.

Message: What year is your truck? I haven't looked at 2000+ trucks to know where they are but they are probably where they are on 97-99 trucks. On the passenger side, near the intake hose, down in the intake manifold you will see a sensor that is fed by 2 wires shielded a little in tubing. that is your AIT. Remove it and fill the hole with a threaded plug, I think it was 1/4 but check for sure on SpeedTweaks. I put mine in the rubber intake hose but I am working on a new custom mod for my truck that will improve my custom ram air intake. I will post pictures when I'm done.

Message: tweak,
sometimes, as on the 01's +, and MIL lights(check engine) comes on when it encounters an unusual reading. Some say that it doesn't do any good, and even made their engine run poorly.
Others have dyno results of around 10HP gains! Really depends on the ambient temp, humidity, etc.
Did you find the excellent write up on the speadtweaks site regarding this?

Message: I would have my air intake tube threaded, and get a brass plug from Autozone to stick back in the intake manifold(only$.79).Real easy.
