Subject: what you need to know about highflow cat IP: Logged
Message: i was recently in the muffler shop getting a set of duals for my truck, while waiting i started checking out some high flow cats, and found myself talkin to one of the head guys that run the exhaust, after walkin to the back and takin a peek at both a highflow cat and a universal cat there was found to be no differnce, except a fancy stamping and about 100.00 diff in price, i had asked him if he had noticed any big gains on anything hes ran and he stated that there was no differnce between either a high flow and a universal cat, have any of you seen that big of a differnce between a stock or universal cat, and a highflow cat? thanks for your imput

Message: I too am an exhaust man, and I would be inclined to agree with him. I haven't seen or felt anything noticeable. But for a real gain, you should just go with a blank. That's something you will Hear and Feel!

Message: Well, I can get high flow cats for $60, Carsound by Magnaflow. At that price I figure, what the heck. And from my experience, every time I've gone to a high flow, I picked up power.
