On my 4.7, I did mine after CW (on this forum) did. I have the newer 68mm TB to start with on my 01.
1. remove TB
2. use dremel tool to take off a lot of the hump at the bottom, and wall thickness around the OUTSIDE of the throttle plate. (I left mine in so I'd know where not to grind.)
3. reinstall using the same gasket
4. imagine the huge increases in power you now have!

You can shave about .01 off the walls and keep the same blades. That's what I did. Actually it came out to kind of oblong holes. Since it was getting more air it seems the computer adjusted for that and richened up.

Above the blade (butterfly) the throttle body tapers down about about 2mm per side. this is restricting the amount of air that is able to pass thru the body. SO by opening this bottle neck up you have created a larger opening. More air/gas more HP.

That looks really good, I like your heat shield for the intake.

I need to take mine back off and polish it better, kinda left mine rough a little.

D, I'm really curious about your A-Arms. Where did you get them, what's their purpose (lower the front, handling, lighter ... etc.) and how much $

thx

DJM 3" control arms, I got them from
www.godfathercustoms.com, but you can buy
direct from DJM (www.djmsuspension.com)

the warehouses usually sell them cheaper
than the manufacturer can sell them for.

I dont remember the exact cost, but way
cheaper than what DJM lists them at.

they are heavy SOB's, so I doubt it made the
front any lighter, but the purpose is to lower
the front 3". DJM also sells a 2" a-arm and a
1" coil spring that would do the same, but give
you better handling because of the stiffer coil.
I wanted to keep the stock ride, just change
the look.

I used a 5" shackle hanger kit in the rear, with
a 1" block. (DJM also)

Sorry for the inconvenience guys,

Geocities has put a limit on my site, when the site goes over the viewing limit they shut it down for 15-30min. Then they will turn it back on.
