Subject: Hypertech PCM IP: Logged
Message: Bernd this is Pat from Austin I just saw where you had said the Hypertech PCM does not work well on the 5.2 I have 97 with 5.2 and MOPAR does not offer one for it. I like the way mine runs with the Hypertech (could just be I dont know any better) what kind of problems have you heard of with them.I am also going to send money order for that Flometrics TB today-cant wait!!! What I heard was that the Hypertech (and Jet) causes check engine lights and other water related problems (shorting out). I look at it this way...if it works, and it works for your specific application...you're doing good. :)
Most of the problems were from '98+ vehicles (a few Rams as well).
I did notice, on Hypertech's latest advertisement, that they can raise the speed limiter and rev-limiter now. (GM mainly...wonder if they do this on the Dodge Power Programmer-III as well.) Hmmmm...phone call time. ;)

Please! Does anyone know if there is a chip or module that takes away the speed limiter on the 2001 4.7s. No one seems to have one.
KRC Performance says they can "flash" yours if you send it to them but I'm leary of that.

Marty (KRC) knows what he's doing on them. He's worth the down-time and money on the custom flash for the PCM.
