Subject: Best estimate???... IP: Logged
Message: I know it's tough to estimate a 0-60 and quarter mile time without actually going to the track, but the closest track to me is pretty far away and my schedule is hard to work around, so I don't have much time. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me an estimate of my times (seems like you all would have a pretty good idea about this).
I have a 99 CC 5.2L auto 3.55's running on 31 x 10.5's with Custom Cold Air Intake (similar to Airaid), Poweraid TBS, Taylor 8.5mm wires, Autolite 3923's, 180 T Stat, Flowmaster 40 series 3" cat back, IAT adjuster, TPS .75V.
Thanks

Message: I assume with 31" tall tires you have a 4x4 and therefore I don't really know what the times would be like. Sometimes I wonder where everbody gets these 0-60 times they give as tracks have no way to measure time to speed just time to diatance. They mush be using g-tech (or similar) numbers if they give a 0-60 time. The best mod for acceleration you could make short of a blower would be two sets of 4.56 gears (or something close to that ratio). It would cost probably close to $800 total installed but would really help get you moving with those big tires. R/T's run good with those gears, and they have 28" tall tires, you could get away with even lower gears with 31's. If I had to guess on your current setup I'd say high 16's low 17's on a good day, but not knowing how much the 4x4 hurts times it's hard to tell.

Message: for the 4.56 gears, how would the highway rpms be since I do a good amount of highway driving as well?? Also, how much of a difference would the gears make? Thanks
