Subject: Shift Kit Install = lower shift RPM?
IP: Logged

Message:
I just installed the TransGo shift kit in my '94 Dakota with the A518/46RE Trans. It firmed up the shifts nicely, but now my shift point has gone from 5200 before, to 4900 now. I installed the orange spring that was supposed to raise the shift point to it's highest level in the kit. When I originally installed the Mopar PCM, it increased the shift RPM slightly, but now I've lost what I gained.

Anyone else have this problem, and is there any easy way to get my higher shift RPM back?

Thanks,
Scott

I installed a transgo kit in my 2000 r/t. The shift points didnt change, the full throttle shift points on mine anyway are governed by the pcm. Try calling transgo`s tech line, might take several trys to get through, but they can answer any question ya throw at them...
