What size rims and tires do you guys have and what brands/style??? i have a 98dak 2x4 and i think its lowered enough, but i wanna get some wider, low profile tires and some like 17inch wheels. Do you guys agree that this would look tight? thanks for the feedback.

I'm into larger wheels too, but I have factory 15's with 275-60-15's.. They handle good in the rain, offer a smooth ride, and hook like heck at the drag strip.

yeah my truck is still totally stock and i have 215/75/R15 on it right now which look tiny, i really want that wide, agressive look, if anybody has pics, email me em, or post em.

I just had a set of Gdyr Eagle GTII's (255/55/15) with Raised White Letter installed a couple weeks ago. nearly 50k on the orig Gdyr Eagle LS. The difference in size is marginal. They look pretty cool on a black QC SLT with no labels (except V8).

Here's a pic of the 275's... They don't look as wide in the pic, as they do looking from directly behind the truck. The tread is 9-1/4" wide, I believe. Firestone Firehawk SS-20's.

i have a 4/6 drop on my truck, and my 17's didnt fill the gap enough for me, so i went with 20's and im running a 255/35/20
it fills the gap nicely

i have 20in crager boost chrome 20x8.5 with 295/40/20 in the rear and 275/35/20 in the front on a 3/5 dropped 97 5.2L 5spd reg cab black dakota sport w/ RT fender flares, have pics soon.

275/40/17 on R/T rims. No rubbing on hard corners or during donut with a full clocked wheel. That's a 10.8" wide tire. They look really good from the back and front. Even with my drop they seem a tad small though. Lead slead-ish. I have a 2/3.5 drop on my truck.
Will 295s fit the R/T rim??

xplikt, did you notice any performance changes when you switched to the 275/40/17s? I was considering them, but I thought the overall diameter was a tad too small. Have you had any major speedo/odo changes, check engine light come on, or anything like that?
As far as the R/T rim, the widest recommended tire is a 275-width tire; you can probably squeeze 295s on there, but they may bulge a little bit.

i have the same combo as xplikt, 275/40/17 on my r/t rims (eagle f1's). i need to lower the back of my truck a lil more, but they dont look too bad.
what tire is 295 width? i was thinking of going to a 285/40 next. they should fit, if you can find someone to squeeze them on there...
