Subject: Torsion Bar Torque?
IP: Logged

Message:
I just rebuilt a '01 QC 4.7 4x4. I put a new frame under the truck. The question I have is, " My truck doesn't set as high in the front as the other 4x4 Dakotas. Could it be because the torsion bars arent tightened enough? Please respond!

Have you tried turning the Adjust bolts clockwise to gain heighth? if you measure from the ground to the fender lwr lip, should be 36 1/2" high. rear is 37 1/2" high. this is my 2002 quad cab 4x4 measurements with the 265x70x16 wheels tires.

No I haven't tried it yet. I kind of just noticed that mine sets a little lower than everyone elses.
