Message: You really don't know schit, do you? Imagine this....I have a 4x2 with a 3.55 ratio...dropping tire sizes (for the race track) brings the effective axle ratio above 4.10, meaning better acceleration on the drag strip. Hmmm, I guess I'm not wasting my time...I think other people have the same idea.

Message: 225 tires will barely fit on the factory stock 15x8 rims that I have on my Dakota Sport. The sidewalls will be stretched OUT. Therefore, I would have to mount them on a 7" wide rim. I have 275/60/15's on the front and back right now. If I switch out the rears for 225/50/15 tires, then the rears would be skinnier than the fronts. When was the last time you saw rear-drive racer where the front tires were fatter??

Message: That's why you get front tire to match, and keep them on the drag strip. That's what I did!

Message: So in order to buy your $50 skinny drag radials, I've got to go buy four new rims, new front tires, and then bolt all four of them on every tiem I get to the track? Just to get a 4.10 rear gear ratio? I could buy the ring & pinion and install it quicker & cheaper than that.
Good Luck.

Message: alex,
don't worry, I have the set of fronts to sell you too! $50 for those, if you want them, smart azz. Plus, you can re-install your factory tires to keep your 3.55 ratio for everyday driving...and the ring and pinion is a bit more expensive and time consuming, genious. Don't be a prick.

Message: Those may give you a lower gear ratio but I dom't think they'll help for traction. Running 26x10.5x15 MT Street slicks and still lose traction on occasion.

Message: I understand they may lose grip, but not with a stock V8, especially when warmed up properly. Your slicks may lose a little, but don't forget, you're bottle fed. They worked excellent for my set up, 4x2 4.7L
