The URL is in the first post of this thread. Chekc it out...it does work.
I convinced my neighbor to test it on his '94 GMC, a good friend with a '01 ACR Viper, my wife's Jeep GC, and a buddy at work with a Mazda. I'll let ya know how those tests go. (My other neighbor isn't home right now but was also interested in testing it on his Lightning...could be interesting.)

Message: I don't understand why the hp results vs. set temp
are non-linear. If 20 below OAT gives x hp, then
60 below OAT should give more than x hp, not less.
You should (?) have more timing which should give
more hp. But the A/F is probably richer, which may
put you outside the optimum bsfc. If the trend is
non-linear and hard to predict for various
conditions, how do you adjust for optimum hp? How
will you know when you are in the "sweet spot" for
IAT?

Message: I am wondering if that will work on my stock 5.2l. I seen that is made fo super charged engines and normaly aspirated engines, but I am not sure what normally aspirated is. I think it means stock. Is this IAT box like a controlable temperature thing????Any responses would greatly appreciated.

Message: Normally Aspirated means no induction "enhancement": such as - Blower or Turbo.
It works fine on a stock engine and yes, you can control the temperature that the PCM registers from the IAT Sensor (bypasses it). It allows you to switch from the factory IAT to the dial ont he box (and back again).

Message: Dudes,I have an IAT adjuster, and while I can't really comment factually about how much HP you will gain,I know that my Dak definately feels stronger! It's well worth the money! Plus, it's a no brainer to install.
What happened to me was that I had gone to the dyno to get some numbers and got mixed up about which way the knob turns for "colder" air(I have the older style box with just the hash marks).I made a pull with the knob set in the 80 degree setting and pulled a good number, but with the knob set at the full CCW "hot" setting, it cost me 20HP at the low end of the RPM range! This just proves-when all else fails-READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!
Hey Bernd-How about an upgraded sticker for my box????

Message: Spyder: We forgot to change the "available for:" notation on the website. They only work on the '92+ vehicles. The reason is that the older (Gen-I) engines use a different range on the IAT and, from the tests we ran, were not as good as expected.
Dak: Yup, I haven't run with a IAT Sensor since last year. I control the IAT signal manually for Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall - Weather/Temp depending of course.

| RE: IAT Adjuster - Dyno Results are in IP: Logged
Message:
Yup.
General Rule: Set the IAT Adjuster about 20-25 degrees cooler than the outside air. With the exception of when the outside air is at 65 degrees or cooler. Then, turn the IAT Adjuster off as you're receiving a cold enough air charge to cool down the sensor.
Now, some folks are running the IAT Adjuster at the same temp as the outside air (when it's 65 or colder) and have been having some good results. (While we don't normally recommend it, it can be done but watch the "Check Engine Light" as we've noticed on some of the '00+ models, if the IAT is below 60 degrees, you risk tripping the MIL...this happens on rare occasion and we're trying to find out what the actual cause is. (Too hard to figure out as it's very random.)

Message: Just wondering because I live in south Florida. The day time temperature doesn't change a whole heck of lot down here. mid 70's at night to mid 80's low 90's during the day. But the elevation is only about 15 feet so I guess that compensates.
