Rez, There are some good hoods out there. Some perform good, others just look good.Mine is of the latter variety,I have an AAR hood. While my AAR hood looks awesome, the underhood plumbing was not great. It just plumbed into a stock type replacement air box (that never fit)thru a 3"x3" duct.Granted,it is an older design, and I hear the newer versions fit better, but they still feed into a stock airbox.Lately,I have seen very good designs for the cold air induction, probably one of the best is the shaker hood, but it's very expensive.I am currently using an Intense Performance Stage III cold air intake thru the grill that I am very happy with and the "ram-air" hood is just for show.Just be patient and shop around, look thru some of the older threads on this site and get some links to the various manufactures and you'll find one you like.Cowl Hoods are great for drawing cold air into your TB if you have an airbox sealed to the hood.Otherwise they still work good for cooling off your engine compartment to a certain degree.Of course you can run an un-sealed cowl hood and use a 14x3 airfilter with a K&N Extream filter lid and get a little bit of the best of both worlds.Good luck and happy hunting!
Dave.

Hey man, go to www.up22.com It is a place outa California that deals with loads of fiberglass hoods, fenders, and body panels. They make something for just about everything. I got my fake cowl ind. hood from them. I have installed it on the truck now, but have yet to cut the hood up. But I am going to soon. Check them out. I know they have cowl fiberglass hoods for Daks of our years. Good Luck
