Subject: MSD? PLUGS? 5.2 v8 IP: Logged
Message: I was told to use the MSD 6T by the tech dept. at MSD.com . I plan on ordering that system but I'm not sure what Plugs to use and what Gap to set?? I want something that will work awesome. I bought the Bosch plat.+4 plugs today but are hesitant on if I should use them?? I hear only about the freaken 3.9!! I could give a damn about what fits that motor or how they work. This message is for the guys with a newer 5.2 liter v8 that have gone through what I'm just starting to go through. HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!!!!!!! Nick@rj3.net

Message: Do not use precious metal plugs ie: platinum they will detoriorate very quickly. I have seen the +4 actually melt with the high power ignition. The autolite 3923 work wery well in this application. Make sure you get a cap with brass terminals and change them every 10,000mi.

Message: Autolite 3923 or equivilent copper plug in the same heat range if you are using a high output coil and or MSD ignition. No titanium or platinum or anything other than copper.

Message: I'm gonna return those plati +4 that I bought and give some autolights a try. Sure beats the hefty $50 for the plati's .
