Message: ok a v6 is same as a 318 without 2 cyclinders right? so aftermarket pistons that fit 5.2 will fit v6 ....the hughesengines has some i was looking at and say Deck clearance (See Notes)so it says Notes: All compression ratios are based on a .030" oversize and a .039" compressed gasket thickness... so that means i have to have it bored 30 over to fit? where can i find some that will fit without boring ?

Message: Just a question but why would you buy hi-po pistons and not clean up the bore. The factory does it fast, the bore is not quite round or even top to bottom as you would like it and not all the holes are the same size. A .030" will cool better and add displacement.A .030" overbore is common with any engine rebuild. If you are going to tear it down do it right and you will be suprised at the results, spend $3500 on the rebuild and you will think it's a v8.
