Message: For those of you hyper-aware of the weight of your trucks, where do you go to weigh them? Although the Dakota will be the most powerful engine I've owned, I still think my '90 Ford SHO had a higher power-to-weight ratio. Since it is going to be close though, I'm considering tweaking the Dodge just so that it becomes the fastest thing (with 4 wheels...) that I've driven.

Message: Most moving and storage companies have a scale, that is how they charge (by weight).

Message: Go to a truck stop.....I used a CAT scale for $7.50 to weigh my 1560# landscape trailer and the guy said it is to the pound certified. Feels kinda funny with all those big trucks though, plus having to jump up to hit the intercom button. An easy few ponys can be had by disconecting AC drive belt, faster and higher rpms can be had with smaller tires( lot less weight too), 50+ lbs can be lost by leaving the tailgate at home till it's needed ( good on gas too )...........of coure intake and exaust are the #1 mods Good Luck P.s. Losing the wife will make it go faster too...HEHEHE
