Message: Hey everybody i's nice to be back here. I just finished my project of projects with great success. My '92 AWD Dak has been body dropped 4" and a new engine was installed (sorry it wasn't the V10..that may come later) Here's some info and such on the truck now.
Well I must say that the body from a 4x4 gen2 is very easy to drop. It basically comes stock with a body lift so all you have to do for a mild body drop is cut out the metal block between the body and the frame. Dropping it 4" takes a looooot more work. Unfortunatly, I could not prevent the engine (403 stroker) from poking out of the hood. I would have trimmed the motor mounts in order to make room but I must have room for my AWD components. But this isn't anything a 4" cowl can't cover. Well I'll post some pics when I get it painted and everything. If anyone has any questions, comments, or advice I'd love to hear it.

Message: The truck was lowered 4" prior to the body drop. But being a 4x4 chassis the frame was about 3" off of the ground but the body was far too high.
It runs great, I took it out for a spin last night and let me tell you, 403's can scoot...talk about your low end torque
