Message: I have a 98 with a 5.2. I've been pondering the 3923 plugs. Did it seem to run any better right after you put them on? Sounds like you got a nice truck.

Message: I have a 98 SLT CC automatic that I just got a few weeks ago..
I took off my clutch fan and replaced it with an Imperial electric, but it cannot quite keep up with the a/c and Atlanta heat, so I am going to switch to an Black Magic and see if that helps.
I also just got Autolites, but just ordered Magnecor wires and BW cap and rotor, so I will change all them at the same time. Next is dual exhausts..I am going to try an Xcelerator ss muffler from my local shop, $249 installed. It has a lifetime guarantee and is "supposed" to sound great..we will see...
This is the best board on the net for sure...

Message: My engine stays cool stock. I live in CO though. Once in a while it will get over 100 degrees, but the humidity is low. I don't know if that makes trucks miserable or just people. Congratulations on your truck, Rascal. I'm waiting on my flowmaster exhaust to come in. I got the Force II which is a single 3" side exit. Comes with a 50 Series SUV muffler. I wanted something louder than the Gibson. Bonus, its cheaper too. Plus I get mandrel bent pipes.

Message: I put in a 180 t-stat but sitting in traffic, it climbs, slowly, to 210...(I hope you meant yours gets to 200 degrees, and not 100 degrees..).
I do not want to put the fan clutch back on so I will try another fan.

Message: Rascal, I did notice when I changed my coolant that the temp was getting up to 210 sitting in traffic. The problem was that the coolant wasn't full. If you haven't checked that, I recommend it. Sounds exactly like my situation.

Message: Thanks for the advice, but my coolant level is fine, I just am not getting enough air moving..I will buy a Black Magic fan this week and that will take care of things for me, but I am staying with the electic fan.
