Subject: Catalytic Converter?... IP: Logged
Message: Last weekend I replace my O2 sensors but my cat. converter is gone. I 've been looking for one on line and I sow the magnaflow cat. converter, just seems that its only for a V8 but not for a V6 with the Mod. 94006 Magnaflow universal fit. Do you guys know if this cat. will fit in my dakota 99 eng. 3.9L, 2wd, reg.cab.
They have the direct-fit catalytic with the 59" long pipe but i really dont need that extra pipe.
If anyone had experience with this issue i would really apreciate your comments.
Thank you!...

Message: you'll have to get under your truck and measure the diameter of
the inlet and outlet pipes, because they usually classify them by
those measurements especially the universal fit ones. my cat
deteriorated inside so i bought one online and cut out my old one
and it was fairly inexpensive. the one online also allows better flow
and it also sounds better according to my experience with the one i
bought

Message: Hey gage!...Thanks for the comments, I measured the pipe and I search and bought one online as well, I received my cat. in 5 days!... kind of quick. Took my truck to a Muffler shop and they put it for me and its running now like a new. This cat is also high flow and its an universal one, The cat is from Magnaflow same as the exhaust system, its a better flow and sounds little deeper than before.
Thanks for the your post at this forum!
