Message: when i changed my front shocks i just used an electric impact wrench with a deep socket. the nuts came right off. installed the new ones the same way.

Message: I've had to cut them off before, just a smokey fire during as the rubber melted and burned :)

Message: Well, got the IAS installed this weekend!!
I had to use a nut splitter to somewhat cut into the nut on the shock post, then drilled it out the rest of the way and used a chisle to break it off. Took over an hour to do the first shock. Used the shock tool and PB Blaster on the other front shock and it came off pretty easy. Rear shocks were a piece of cake.
Anyhow...haven't had a chance to really test them out on a rough/bumpy road, but they seemed pretty nice. Not too stiff to create a uncomfortable ride, but not bouncy like the worn out OEM ones.
I'm sure under severe conditions such as hard breaking and cornering I'll notice a difference.
