Message: With the msd 6al box the directions hint towards the need of a tach adaptor. Is there anyone with a 6al box that has a tach adaptor and if so could you let me know the part number?

Message: Unless you plan on running an after market tach, forget about all references to the adapter and just install it.

Message: There is a bit of a difference. It pulls harder all through the rpm range but is really noticeable around 2600 rpm which is where the powerband starts now as apposed to 2800 where it used to be. It takes a bit longer to start now but that's the only problem.

Message: That's interesting, thanks for answering the question.
I wouldn't like the part where it makes the truck harder to start though.
I wonder if it will improve your gas mileage?
I've got a 1999 5.2 Dakota. I have been considering that MSD system.

Message: it's not hard to start it just has to cranks a couple more times. i haven't had a chance to check mileage but that will be chacked asap.
