Message: does your exhaust smell sweet? could be a head gasket too. Don't sniff too hard though, from the looks of it you can't afford to loose too many more brain cells. Good luck, Bumble-bee tuna

well i took her into the dealer and they ask me a trick Question? they ask when was the last time i had change my oil. i was like add up the years and its been longer than 4. i drive about 15,000miles a year. so i ask the cute Blondie behind the counter to pass me a calculator. it was 60000miles since the last change. oops she laugh and smile and snorted and cry and sang and died. she didn't die i was j/k.lol! the dealer said they were change the oil and as soon as they pulled the plug nothin but metal shavings came out. is that normal? well i put 3qt of albertson finest oil in her and she started right up.

Message: Riiight. That is pretty funny though. Try putting a magnet on your oil filter, might help with some of the shavings. I do it.

Message: Yeah i have a similar story, i have a 98 dakota with an auto and 267,000 miles on it.
I use it to town big heavy loads of bullsh!t across the US.
Never put a drop or changed the transmission fluid ever. Till one day I was crusing down the freeway and all of sudenn my transmission just fell out.
So i took the duct tape out of the glove box, taped it back in place, added some red koolaide and ice to it and pulled the bullsh!t the rest of the way

Message: First 3 runs with my 97 Dakota Club Cab, 5.2, 44RE, 3.55SG weighing 4,380 lb were 16.7, 16.8, 16.7. This was with (discovered 2 years later) a CA programmed, oem computer that is put in Dakotas shipped to Ontario, Canada :-( My guess is that with a Fed computer it would run around 16.3 - 16.5.
At the end of last year's racing season, my NA, now fully modded Dak (still daily driver) has a personal best of 13.76 @ 99.65
