Message: id say your governor pressure sensor in the trans is faulty. its a common issue among 42-44-46RE transmissions. it is mounted in the right front corner of the valve body right next to the transducer.

Message: yep, I'd have to say to start looking at the governor, they suck for some odd reason, and its usually the culprit in the 5200 revlimiter 1-2 shift issue too.

Message: slow2dak, how you like them TRUE duals?
There's some people talking SMACK about running true duals on a small block 4.7 in another thread saying you can;t run duals on a 4.7
I dis agree.
At the LEAST, I bet it sound bad a$$ compared to many other trucks out there these days.

Message: Well i deprogramed my superchips and the cumputer is relearning the stock settings and so far it seems (not positive) that the tranny is fine now. but i'm going to call superchips and send it to get reprogramed and i'm still going to take it to the dealer and have them look at it , not fix just take a look at the tranny. I'm not going to pay jack diddly until I find the source of the problem.

Message: sup Graphite, i love the true duals on my dakota. it is probably the best "bang-for-the-buck" mod i have done. true story here: when i had a single Flowmaster 40 series, my truck would run 15.05's to 15.15's depending on track conditions and ambient temp. when i swapped to the true duals,2.5" 2-chamber Flowmasters, i when from a 15.09 @ 89.92 one week to a 14.89 @ 90.58 exactly 1 week later with almost the same track conditions with just a little bit more humidity. so, thats my real life story and they sound bada$$ to boot.

Message: actually, moron, it only cost me about 25 bucks for me to do my exhaust. all i had to do was pay for the pipe. already had the mufflers, which i got for free from a buddy of mine, and labor didnt cost me anything but my time because i am Chrysler Gold Certified along with 7 ASE's to go along with it.

Message: actually, who gives a sh*t. i spend my money and time the way i want and i dont criticize you for the way you spend yours. my truck, my money, my time just like everyone else. i really dont care what kind of gains you got and how much it cost or didnt cost. and if you really concerns you, this is my tow truck for my 69 dodge charger.

Message: My truck revs to about 4500 and then 'overrevs' and slips out of gear. I have the '00 5.9 4x4 w/the Auto.
If the gov pressure solenoid IS the issue, is it hard to change or does it require dropping the tranny?
Thanks,
Todd
