Subject: Emmission legal Cam IP: Logged
Message: Is installing a cam small enough to pass an emmission's test actually worth-while, or would it just make more sense to put in 1.7 R.R.'s?

Message: Just adding a cam to the stock setup is not really going to be woth the money and time to tearr down vs the gains. You would be much better with 1.7's and tailpipe numbers will not be affected. I have 1.7's

Message: Depends on what you want. I have a cam/heads combo (with 1.7s as a matter of fact) that pass California Emissions (won't pass visually here with the M1, so I've swapped back to my stock manifold for the testing)... Passes the sniffer just fine.
300 rwhp with my combo-- runs mid 13s on a 5.9L with gears.
Email me if you want more info.
