Subject: Fuel Shut Off Valve? 04 IP: Logged
Message: A friend has an 04 Dakota 4.7 quad cab. At 98 MPH it feel like it down shifts. It will not go beyond 98 MPH. How do you fix this? Is it a chip fix or something more?
Thanks for the help,
Mav

dont know if there is a chip yet for an 04
Why does he want to go faster than 98 in a quad cab or a pickup period?

Message: Apparently, it's not the year.
This has been posted about since 2000. The consensus was that it's the tire rating it's built with from the factory.
I'm still not sure but that one works for me, I had mine built with the tire and handling package.
The new SC tuner DID raise that however!
