Message: That means that once you have 650hp or more, you're taking a good chance at breaking it. It was designed to handle around that much w/o breaking.

Message: the heck with racing, I use mine for offroading and towing...minor performance mods on a 03 Quad Cab 4x4...and I love my manual.
Racing, yeah, I can see the auto holding the advantage there.
For everyday driving, some weekend towing, etc...manual is the way to go. If I were to buy an RT/any type of race truck, I'd probably want an auto.

Message: put a hurst shifter on your nv3500, and it shifts very fast. There is 22% drivetrain loss to an auto, and 18-19%in a stick. I like sticky tires and a manual. You dont hear muscle car guys looking for autos, they want a big block 4 speed.
