Message: They went out of business a while back. There is a new company making them now but can't recall the name. Do a web search for IAT BOX and see what pops up.

Message: Last I had heard on Speedtweaks, they stopped business but left their tech page online for others to still view. Even their homepage mentioned this. My error! I'll assume they have restarted or moved??
BTW, I had one the original Speedtweaks boxes and it did absolutely nothing for me. I sold it.

Message: Stay away from this crappy company, there is a good reason why they went out of business. They have screwed many dakota fans on this site and I hope their credit is shot for life, it would serve them right eating out of a welfare line for the remainder of their rotten lives!

Message: Speedtweaks.ca is a different company than the original. The Canadian version was started by someone with permission from the original Speedtweaks in Texas. The goal was to provide better service and canadian pricing to Canadian dak owners. That business is still legit, up and running from what I understand. Speedtweaks, the Texas version was run by Bernd Rautsch (spelling?). He got himself into some bad financial situations which led to some very bad dealings with a quite a few costumers. Many of which are or were on this board. I ordered from him a few times and didn't lose any money. But then again I wasn't ordering high ticket items. I probably only spent $150 on his business.
Good luck...I doubt speedtweaks.ca has the iat adjusters either.

Message: Does anyone have a Speedtweak IAT for sale. If so let me know, also what is the price and is it working properly. One other question, is the Hurricane Horsepower adjustable IAT as good as the Speedtweak model.

Message: The forty dollar version looks like it may actually be better than the original by speedtweaks. Give it a try. It's a cheap mod and I think made something like 5-7rwhp on a 4.7L. Thats the same h.p. the K&N FIPk makes on a 4.7L for $200 less.

I read some old posts about the adjuster and i wasnt sure on how to wire it in. will that ait box from hurricane work on the 4.7? and also do you have to cut the wires going to the sensor to make a connection?
thanks

Message: Yes, you have to cut the wires to splice in the adjuster.

| RE: Speedtweak IP: Logged
Message: Its really simple electrical work to splice in those wires. You don't even need to solder anything. Cut the wires, strip about half an inch off with some wire strippers, wire in your IAT box matching up wires per the directions, and heat shrink the wires to seal them and bond them together. Just make sure you have the IAT positioned inside the cab before you start attaching any wires together. Also remember to slide the heat shrink up one of the wires before attaching the two wires together. Yer going to have to get creative when running the wires from the cab through to the engine compartment. I've heard it can be a PITA.

Do you think that you could some how wire in the box by getting some of the connectors so that you dont have to cut the factory wires???
Thanks

Message: No; what you are doing is interupting the stock signal and fooling the PCM with a new signal for colder air wich isn't really there. That's also why this mod only increases power when its warm out.
