Subject: 4.7L jba headers dyno IP: Logged
Message: Has anybody dynoed the jba headers for the 4.7L. I have a chance to get these for about half price along with a custom exhuast and I want to know if it will be worth the trouble. Now I have a 3" cat-back flowmaster exhuast and I will probably convert to headers with high flow cats into true dual 2.5 mandrel bent tubes. Is this a good setup or should I just stick with a single 3"? Also, will this give me any substantial gains and be worth the money? I've read that the stock manifolds are not too restrictive and I don't want to tear apart my whole exhuast system until I have some rough numbers about gains. Anybody have any help or advice?

Message: I wouldn't go with the true duals, you will lose some bottom end, just do the cat forward. I don't know dyno results on a Dakota but Sport Truck got 12 hp on a Ford.
