Subject: Truckin' 9.5" lift IP: Logged
Message: I have a 97' 4x4 Dakota and i found a 9.5" lift made by Truckin' California. I was wondering if it is a good lift.
Also, where is a good site to find tires/rims?

Message: Truckin doesn't have there machines currently tooled to make the 9.5" lift. They have made afew 6.5" and one 4.5" lift. When I get my 4.5" lift installed I will let you know how good of quality I think it is. Tires & Rims I honistly don't know. With that size of a lift you could probably clear 37" tires but that's just a guess.

Message: I can't vouch for the quality of the lift but I can say this much - going that tall, you can put on some pretty good sized tires (37"-38") but if you do that, you really don't need to worry about the lift breaking. Your axles will probably break out of fear alone as you bolt on tires like that. If you plan to do any serious off-roading, I wouldn't go alone...

Message: Do you think the lift would be alright for mainly street driving? I wouldn't be doing much off-roading.

Message: I had a total of 9in. of lift on my 99 cc dak and ran 38x15.50 swamper radials for a year and a half with no problems , but these were mostly on road miles. I just wanted the look as Ive always owned lifted trucks. Until now that is.Current 02 quad cab is stock for now.
