 Subject: what size lift for 33's and 35's?

hi,
i have a 2001 4X4 quadcab and i was wondering how big of a suspension lift will i need to fit on 33's? And can any one possably tell me the same on 35's? i currently have on 31's with no lift.

from what ive read 3inches will get you a set of 33's under your truck, some say you can do the same for 35's with max crank of your torsion bars. but i think you should be able to fit 35's with a 3 suspension and 3 inch body but dont qoute me on that. that is what im going to try to do when i get the money to do it.

3" bodylift will definitely get you to fit the 33's. keep in mind, the width plays a huge role in this. Most people that say they have 33's actually have 285/75's which are only 11.5 inches wide. My opinion is that 33's mean also having 12.5" in width.
I have read about that a 3" BL + 3" suspension lift will allow 35's.

Width of the tires play a huge role in the fit of a tire so does wheel offset or backspacing. If you have a really wide tire or a wheel combination that sticks out of the fenders more than stock then you may not be able to fit as tall of a tire. For instance my 994x4 has 33x12.50s and a 3in Rancho lift and that is the absolute max I can go with no rubbing width wise but a friend let me try his 34x10.50 Swampers (these things kick A$$ in the mud!) out for a weekend and they didn't rub once, however my truck sees far too much beach riding to go down to a 10.50 tire on a permanent basis.
As for 35s I have read the same thing Jetsfan8099 has 3in suspension and 3in body will fit 35s. I have even seen a picture of a truck with just the 3in suspension lift, and fender trimming, stuffing 35s.

Go to www.gorancho.com and do a dealer locater to find a online retailer or a local shop. Price wise I think this lift costs around $1500, but don't quote me on that my truck already had the lift on it when I bought it. The part # for the base kit is RS6560 There are a couple different shock options that add letters to the end of that #.

oh my gosh... all this time i thought ranchos lft kit was just a body lift but i just checked it and it is indeed a suspension lift. lol i guess ill have to read better from now on.
ok so now all i have to find is a 3" body lol

Performance accessories would be a good choice for the Body Lift. That's what I went with and was very pleased with it.
