Message: I've got a 2000 Dakota 4x4, I'd like to find a 6" suspension lift, but no such luck, all I can find are wimpy 3" kits. I heard of a company called Whiplash making a 10" kit. Does anyone know of that kit and how well it works?

Message: Don't know of whiplash but Truckin Suspension makes 4.5in and 6.5in lifts for the rack and pinion steering Dakota 4x4s
www.tsliftkits.com
And the 3in kits are far from wimpy my 99 318 4x4 has the rancho 3in and i'm fitting 33x12.50/15s with no rubbing and it works awesome and keeps a very smooth ride (rides better than my 02 4.7 2wd)

Message: Yeah mine has the 3.9 with a 5 speed. It only had 57,000 miles on it when I bought it about a month and a half ago. Even the Dodge Dealership I work at can only get a 3". But thanks I'll check'em out.

Message: Afraid i cant help you much with cheap. The Rancho 3in lift on mine costs about $1700 and it was on it when i bought the truck. The cheapest suspension lift i know of for the gen3 dakotas is the Tough Country 5.5in kit and thats about $1300. 3in body lifts are only $250 or less if you combined that with cranking the torsion bars a little you should be able to fit 33s. I have read on this site before that just the 3in body would only fit 32s but if you cranked the torsion bars too you should have enough room. Having said that though i can tell you if you plan too go off road with your truck regularly as i do the suspension lift is worth the money.

Message: If your stock Dakota is a 97 or newer and 4x4, 32" tires will fit, if your rims are stock, or have the same offset/backspace as stock rims.

Message: hey guys i was snooping around on ebaymotors and came across a couple sets of tires. one set was Hercules Terra Trac AT and the other was Hercules Electra Ironman LT66 mud terrains both sets are brand new and the prices were cheap even with shipping. oh yeh 31" but they had other sizes to. anyways I was just wondering if anyone has heard of these or have made a tire purchase off of ebay and howd it go. by the way these tires look pretty damn aggressive. thanks for any info!

Message: whiplash also known as full throttle suspension is for show trucks try to take it off road and be prepaired to buy a new truck and stay away from truckin suspension they are not quality at all. the only way to go higher then 3 is with a tuff country 5.5 and thats not even that good a lift. if you want quality find a local fab shop that can make new upper and lower arms and go coil over.
