Subject: best differental options IP: Logged
Message: Ineed to rebuild my diff and could use some advice. Its a dakota r/t that is lifted and has 33 inch tires should i regear? What is the best locker ?

Message: What gears do you have now? Are you happy with the performance according to your use? If you're not happy, by all means change the gear ratio.
For the locker, I'm a huge fan of the worm gear type - Torsion and Detroit TruTrak. I believe the Tru-Trak is available for the 9.25 rear. The cost is a little more than factory LSD, but not by much. Around here it's about a $60 differance.

Message: I believe stock is 3.55. If you want it to be quicker, at the expense of top end, go to a 3.92 or 4.10.

Message: I thought R/T came with 3.92 ? 3.55 would be stock for most of the other newer models.
