Message: A change in tire size will certainly change your speedometer calibration. The simple answer is to subtract the circumfrence of your old tires from the circumfrence of your new tires, and convert the differance to a percentage. That's how much faster you're actually going - if everything else is perfect.
To be closer to the actual truth, find a place on the highway where the mile markers are easy to read. Watch your odometer as the mile markers roll by. If your odometer says you've travled 9 miles as you pass the 10th mile marker, your speedometer is reading about 10% under actual speed.

Message: Goto this page put in your old tire size and then your new tire size and it will tell you the difference in size and the difference in speed.
