Subject: axle ratios IP: Logged
Message: I have a '93 Dak w/ 5.2, automatic, 3" body, 4wd, MP computer, K@N, 50mm throttle body, 3" exhaust, with 31"s. I have the standard 3.55 gears and with the tires the ratio is too tall. I want to go to 4.10's but i cant find anyone that makes 4.10's for the front axle. I can find them for the rear but not for the front. If anyone has any information, PLEASE HELP, i was told I would have to have a custom set made overseas, but who can afford that? Also I am looking for a set of grey dakota bucket seats and center counsole for my interior too.

Message: You should be able to find some 3.92's at a wrecker easy enough. I think that you'll find 4.10 to be way to lo. Do the math, after tire size is considered, stay close to stock rpm/speed ratio as you can, this will help you avoid breaking stuff that you never thought would be related to this issue.
