i really want to fit 35's without too much rubbing and would like to go with the 6.5" truckin lift but have heard they arent the best lift. and i am not quite sure that about going with a 3" rancho and 3" BL to fit them becuase i think it would be ugly to have a body lift. (no affense to anyone) im just wondering whats practical to get and whats the better way to go. any help would be great. thanks.

yeah i know all about that lift but ive heard that it sucks a$$ and les schwab told me they would charge me $2200 to install it! i said umm no thanks and left. but thanks anyways.

i have a 98 with the rancho 3'' lift and a 3''body lift and you will NOT be able to run 35's without hitting. i have 33'mtr's and they hit when the wheel is turned. truckin suspension now claims to have a 9.5'' lift now. just an idea

go with the truckin 6.5in and a PA 3in body lift and then youll be able to fit the 35's

hey jerseyboy, do you have a body lift to or just the susp. lift., do you have any rubbing with the 35 BFG's., did you trim any. I got the 6.5 lift also I was thinking about going with those tires for my next set. I'm not sure if 33's again or 35's.

as of right now my truck is at the shop getting a 3in PA body lift because the 35's rub and it also also getting 4.10's, a flowmaster exhaust system and a go rhino crome brush guard

Are 4.10 gears the largest r&p set you can cram into those pumkins? Cause if not I would have went with the 4.56s. With my 37s the back loaded and pulling a trailer with three quads I can still do 75 with the over drive off and have a little power left in reserve. To pass all those wanabees! O by the way nice truck!

the gears i have are yukon gears and yes there are other gear ratios which go up to 4.56's the set with installation kits ran me about $550 see the group buy section and you'll see a group buy for 4.10's.And it cost me about $600 for the install. I'm also having him throw on a go rhino chrome brush guard and after im finished with all the mechanical a lift $h1t its going straight to the audio place to get an alpine dvd in dash with all new highs(not sure what kind yet),two JL audio amps,and two 8in subs behind the rear seats. cant wait

All I can say is this. I put a Performance Accessories 3 inch body lift on my 99 Dakota Club Cab Sport and as I write this I recently put a Rancho 3 inch suspension lift on it for a total of 6 inches of lift. Right now it has 11X32X15's on it. I would not go any larger than a 33. I have owned numerous 4X4 trucks of several makes. You need to think long and hard before you shell out the cash on a suspension lift. I did and chose Rancho for several reasons. I am 45 years old and this company has been around a long time. Yhey make an excellent product, stand behind their products, and replacement parts if needed can be purchased at most auto parts dealers. The quality of their stuff is great. Althought the kit does not offer a height of 6.5 inches, when you have to start replacing front end components due to the excessive weight on the spindles and control arms with larger than 33 inch tires, I think it will get your attention.

Additionally, when I first put on my body lift I had 33 tires on it and the fit good until I turned lock to lock. But,this was due to me running a 5 inch backspaced Mickey Thompson Challenger wheel. I have heard, mind you only heard, that a wheel with 3 3/4 backspacing allows the running of 33 with just a 3 inch kit. So in theory with a 3 inch body and suspension, a person should be able to run 35's if the wheels have the correct offset. I chose the 5 inch backspace to prevent the mud tires from tearing up my paint finish and for me not having to but some ugly looking wide fender flares.

Don't get me wrong, whatever a person wants to do to his or her truck is cool with me. But, Dodge transmissions are notorious for problems when they get some miles on them. And the greater weight of tires bigger than 33's will take its toll over time.

For my money, piece of mind, ability to get parts, since they are a reputable company with great quality my pick is Rancho.

Oh one more thing. I was persuaded by a Great 4Wheel drive shop here in Illinois (Carls 4WD) in Bartelso, IL, to go with the Rancho kit instead of the Tuff Country due to fit and finish. These guys at Carls are good guys. They dont try to sell you just anything and everything, like some places do. They install all kinds of these kits and stated that of all of them they offer, they dont have any problems with the Rancho kits because the quality is great and so is the fit and finish.
