Message: I know tire sizes have been discussed a thousand times but.....
Will 285-75's fit on a 2001 Quad Cab 4x4 with the stock rims and the T-bars cranked up about 1 1/4"??
Message: Those are closest to 33x11.5's, I used to have those on my stock '99, and I had some minor rubbing on the inner wheel wells, (front wheels - infront & behind). I have a 3" lift now with 285/75's and it's a lot better. Some people can fit 33's on stock and some can't....depends on the truck. You can just go with 275's I know BFG makes em.
Message: I am running those in BFG AT on a 2000 Club Cab Stock. Torsion bars raised and trimmed the wheel wells. I have the custom bumper but if you do not mind trimming some of the front valance and the well you can do it. I know someone who trimmed part of his bumper and facia, You could not notice it unless you knew what you were looking for. I do get minor frame rub at full turn and I can stuff the tires pretty high without topin out in the wheel well.
If you do not want to mess with trimming then you do not want to do it.

Message: Thanks for the help guys.
I have only been able to find that 265-75-16 is the next size down from the 285 whether it be BFG-Goodyear or Goodrich. 265-75's seem to equate to 32-11.50's but about 1" thinner.
The 70 series Wranglers that came stock on the truck are listed as 30.6" tall as compared to 31.9" for the 75's. Same width for both tires.
Bottom line for all this is 265's won't rub but you only gain 1.3" in height and a different tread look if you go with M/T's.
Any opinions on which of the three brands is the best tire in the M/T design?
