Subject: Rancho Shocks IP: Logged
Message: Hey i just bought a pari of rear Rancho RS5000's for my 88 dak and it feels a lot softer then the stock ones that were on there, is this supposed to do this?? I mean it gives me a better ride but I didnt take it off road yet... Help me out.

Message: You should have gotten the RS 9000's for the adjustability. Especially since you off road.

Message: I found that the RS5000's are a bit soft, and they fade farily quickly off-road (oil heats up and foams with the air). The Gas shocks don't do this as much.
My brother had some reliability issues with the 5000's on his Ramcharger, they began to clunk after a few hundred miles. He's been running ProComps since with no problems...he's really hard on his truck.

Message: Im not hard on mine i take it off road on the weekends to go out with a few freinds I really like the ride they give me on the road, the off road performence are good too but just hauling stuff isnt great, I can get sum helper sprins or add-a-leafs.
