Subject: 2in' Coil spacer IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know if a 2 in.' coil spacer will fit a 2000 Dodge Dakota Slt Plus Regular Cab 4.7L 2*4.I only want to pick the front of the truck up level. I've got 31'*10.5's on the truck. What's the cheapest way to go?

Message: I think that the rule is if you go 3 inches or higher then you need longer shocks. But I think it is just fine with a 2 inch lift. Can anyone second that??

Message: I would like to raise the front of my 99 4X4 dakota.
Would a 2inch spacer work in this model of truck?
How high does the spacer actualy lift the truck?
What are the draw backs of having these installed besides the ride being stiffer?
Also I have not touched the torsion bars yet.
Love the Blue Ram Tail lights!

Message: finally got my coil spacers installed. after looking at the instructions I decided to have my mechanic install them it looked like way to much of a bitch for me to take on myself. the truck looks real nice, however the ride is kind of stiff and a little bouncie but hey I didn't get new shocks.

Message: MASE: 4x4's do not use coils. We have torsion bars to raise the front.

Message: Assuming you leave the bump and rebound stops in the stock location you won't ever need a longer shock than what is provided stock... this is because the wheel travel can only cycle so far in either direction. Increasing lift just decreases the amount of rebound travel available at ride height - a longer shock is not needed. If the rebound stop (commonly called a droop stop) was relocated to allow for more rebound travel a longer shock would be needed. If a spacer is installed the vehicle should be aligned to prevent abnormal tire wear. Anything around or over 3" inches will require a new upper arm to get the vehicle back within stock alignment specs.

Message: got my coil spacers installed, if it wasn't night right now I'd take pics and post them. the first couple of days the ride was rough but as of present the spacers have either settled in or I've gotten use to the slightly bumpy ride. it does make the front wheels tow out a little.
