Message: Anyone in Virginia near the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area ever heard of this store? I'm just wondering because I was told Superlift makes a 5" lift for a Durango... prolly fits Dakota. I called Superlift and this kit does not exist. Is this place b/s'n me? I've seen two Durangos with whatever kit they installed never had a chance to see them upclose. Maybe a modified kit? Anyone help me out?

Message: Well on a Dakota/Durango you only have the choice between the Tuff Country 5.5" or the Rancho 3" lifts. Other than that it would have to be a custom lift. I would say that they are b/s'n you and they don't know what they are talking about. Dakota/Durango lifts aren't common so you might want to check out the other lifts they have installed. If you are just going to get a lift then you could do it yourself if you have space, time and mechanical inclanation, not to mention a good set of tools. Never been to the area so I don't know about their reputation but make sure you ask other people how good they were to deal with.

Message: Apparently they are the best around my area compared to 5-6 offroad shops all in the area. He has installed the lift on two other durangos and recommended it over the rancho and also discouraged installing the Tuff Country lift. I just wish I could find these Durangos! He was charging 2000 w/installation which seems high so it may in fact be a custom lift. Man o man why are we so limited :(

Message: Thats cool, I live in chesapeake so it is not too bad of a drive. What do you think about the 5" lift they said they will do? The guy sounds really confident with his work and this lift may be out there. All the other shops seem clueless when it comes to Durangos/Daks. This one actually had information.

Message: I'm definitely going to go with Pungo but I'm just not too sure about this lift. I thought it may be that Truck'n lift but luckily it is not. I'll have to make a trip up there sometime and see what it is for sure.

Message: did you call pungo? what did they say? i am over here in p-town and have had work done at pungo on previous jeeps. their quality is A1. it seems unreal to me that they may have a "secret" lift for daks. i hope so. i guess i will just have to cross my fingers and wait

Message: I called and asked them if the lift was made by Truck'n and they said don't install lifts of the name Truck'n. He then listed names like skyjacker, superlift, fabtech, and procomp and said that he only deals with lifts from those companies. Basically only companies with well known products that work. So I am guessing it is a custom lift. 5" he says on a 4*4 dak/dur. I'm just gonna have to wait till I get money before I head up there and find out what the lift is for sure.

they will beat anybody's price on anything they do.
he quoted at $210 to install a 3" body on my dakota and told me he would beat anyone's price.
i got a quote from higdust for $200 and pungo did it for $170. not to mention tires and rims, fully installed for $600. you can't beat that.

I have heard alot of great things about pungo offroad but i just havent had enough time to go out and visit them. I forget what road they are off of, so could you give me some directions as to how to get there?... I live in Norfolk.

Email me if you may want to know who to contact over at Pungo Off Road and I will be sure to hook you up. Peace.

Message: I have lived here since 96 and I have yet to find anyone who does better work and better prices. Rob is the owner of Pungo and he also works at the Ford Plant. This guy really knows whats going on as far as I am concerned. I go to Rob for everything, if he doesn't do the work he knows who to go to for the best work and price. When I bought my truck it already had a 4' lift on it done by Hi Dust and Rob adjusted it for free when I brought my truck in on a unrelated problem.
Yeah I swear by Pungo. I won't trust anyone else to touch my truck. By the way the rest of the lift that couldn't be adjusted was welded on by HiDust, need I say more about them.

Message: I live in Deep Creek and I know the owner of Pungo Off Road, and am friends with some of the guys there. I would definetly take my Chevy there if it wasn't already lifted, and if me and my boyfriend and my friends didn't do it ourselves. They do a great job. But honestly, I found this site on accident -- so, why do you think they don't make a lot of lifts for Dodge?? .......
