Message: A bodydrop is achieved by raising the frame up inside the body by raising the floor boards. In some cases you don't have to raise the floor board. Used to be called chanelling and still is in some cases. Not for the week of heart, their is a lot of cutting on your truck and refitting.

Message: What is a "bodyless body drop"? On www.suspensiondimension.com , under body drops, they have a quad cab body dropped. They have this listed as a bodyless body drop. How is different from a regular body drop?

Message: A "Bodyless" or "Stock Floor" body drop is a body drop where the floor is not cut up or is cut up but still looks to be stock. No 3" rise in the floor. This is achieved by basically building a new sub frame for it. We here at totally polished have an Ford explorer we are in the process of doin this to. We have also just completed the body drop of a Chevy dually and are starting on the hydraulics. When we get time, we will be starting on my truck.

Message: hey wassup? I have an extended cab '87 mazda that i want to bodydrop. I feel comfortable doing it myself, but i need to see some pics, and hear some tips on cutting the firewall. all the pics i ever see of bodydrops being done r just of everything, but the firewall for some reason. I am putting a chevy 350 engine in my truck right now, and want to do my bodydrop while the engine is out so i can have better access to the firewall. I would really appreciate if someone could send me pics on doing a mazda body drop that will show the firewall process, or tell me of a site i can goto and see this. Also i want to bodydrop my truck to the doors(shave the rocker panels, and lay door), does anyone know how many inches i will have to bodydrop the truck to achieve this? i figured about 5.5", am i wrong in figuring this? gotta lot of work ahead of me, especially going that big with a 350, but it will be worth it in the long run. thanks for any, and all of the help i may receive on this. please email me @ Scrape87@aol.com Laterz

Message: The firewall is a gray area for me too. I wish somebody would take pics of this, maybe its some kind of conspiracy. 5.5 inches sounds like alot, especaially if it isn't stock floor and is raised floor. Make sure you have a tilt steering wheel, your nuts will thank you. Yeah but the firewall is really the only thing holding me back to cause I don't mine cutting my truck into pieces but I like to have some sort of plan first instead of just gouging into it.
