Message: Does anyone make drop spindles for the '97-up Dakota? I haven't been able to find any. Surely there is enough market demand. Is there some safety or engineering reason why no one seems make the drop spindles for the Dakota?
Thanks!

Message: Clinton,
No one makes any dropped spindles for the 97-up Dakotas. I'm going out on a limb here, and saying that it would probably have to do with the "new and improved" ball joint design...HA!
Dropped spindles are taller in comparison to the factory spindles. So with the way the ball joints are set up on the newer Dakotas, aftermarket companies would have a difficult time getting the suspension geometry correct. So, that's why your seeing only dropped springs and/or lower control arms.

Message: Gen III spindles are not available 'cause a 2"
drop spindle on a Gen III Dakota would cause
a 15" wheel to rub on the lower control arm.
