Hey I lowered my 2001 cc v6 with a DJM suspension kit, 3"/4". I think the shocks that came with the package are weak, and allow the bottom of my front air dam to hit the pavement everytime I hit a good bump at modest speeds. My tires have good clearence as I got new ones with the kit. So I guess what I want to do is stiffen up the front suspension a bit, as it rides like a cadilac.

1) Is this just something that I must live with?
2) What is the recommended shock that stiffens up the front suspension?
3) I like how the rear handles, is it ok to leave the rear shocks as is, and only change the front shocks?

u can try getting shocks it should stiffen it up a lil bit.....they sell lowering shocks on most web sites with drop kits...i got mine from stylinconcepts.com

and ur front bottoms out? how low is it off the ground...6/7 in.? my rear end is 6 in. off the ground and has never bottomed out with my new shocks.....use to all the time.....try some new shocks up front it will proably help....and what did u use to lower your truck up front? the c. arms? b/c i used the coils on my v6 and it only lowered it 1½in. up front...i got 1½/5 drop on mine right now....i am going to get the 3" c. arms sometime this month to level it out.

I have the 3" c-arms. And first I would like to say that the alignment came out perfect, actually closer to spec than the stock suspension...just to help ppl out that think otherwise.

The rear is about 6"'s, and the front is about 5"'s. As it is i'm getting scrap marks on the bottom of my front bumper, that does not bother me a bit, what does bother me is when i'm going around a corner at 110mph and hit a bump with major scrapage (new word).

BTW, the c-arms actually settle too, I think about 1/2". at first I did not have this problem, but then the c-arms settled. this is good and bad?
