I just got a hold of a 97 Dakota Sprot with a standard cab. I've been looking into dropping a truck for years now, but never really took the initiative and did anything. I got a few questions about bags:
In the front, do you just replace the coils with brackets and bags? If not, what else is involved?
In the back, would I have to run a four link, or could I use a mono leaf setup? My money is kinda limited, so I guess that I'll have to make some sacrafices as far as the sophistication of the setup. Also, I don't want to have to do any major mods to the frame or body, so I don't want any kind of notch. I know that it won't lay on the ground, but how low should I be able to get it considering this?
Last, what kind of stuff do you have to do to the shocks, or do airbag setups even run shocks?
I've never really done much suspension work, so sorry if the questions sound dumb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I don't really want anything to fancy for now. All I want is to be able to lower it while it's parked, and lift it up for driving. Also, what's involved with a nitrogen setup? I've heard about it, but I don't know too much about it.

"i don't want anything fancy" and oh "what's involved with a nitrogen setup".....OK why are you even asking about nitrogen considering your first statement. Nitrogen runs into alot of money cause every part of your system will cost more and be that much more sophisticated. Granted you could keep standard 150psi components but you wouldn't be able to crank the regulator up past 175~200ish so what would be the point. Nitrogen is for really fast and hopping setups. Nitrogen can run out very quick and can cost lots of money to refill every week (depends on how much you play with it). You have to have bags and valves rated for around 300 psi. Just get you a 450c and a 5 gallon tank with smc valves and firestone bags. If you don't know anything about air flow, pressure or valve you need somebody to plumb your whole system for you. If you don't know anything about suspensions then you should get somebody to do that as well. Mono-leafs suck, ride rough, and run the risk of breaking the one remaining leaf. The best way to do it is a 4 link. Yes a 2500lb bag and cups will literally bolt in to the front with maybe just a tad bit of triming in key rubbing areas.....2600's too but make sure you cut enough and reinforce areas if needed.
