Subject: hey d. your rear drop. IP: Logged
Message: I want to level my truck out till I can buy a real drop kit. does your truck sit level with a 3inch drop in the rear? I'd rather use a 3inch block then a 2 to cut down on some off my wheel gap.

Message: beautiful...will take pics this weekend after I
wash it. A lot of people have said that the 3-5
sits level, but if you look at pics of their truck, it
looks raked. Mine sits perfect, I wouldnt think
of going any lower. I have a friend that did 3-7,
but it sits a little lower in the rear. (looks kinda
wierd) I dont scrape on anything(driveways
etc.), the only thing that rattles is my
aftermarket 3" exhaust, but I will probably take
it back to the exhaust shop and have it
dumped before the rear axle.
If your worried about how much to lower in the
rear, take your truck to a nice flat parking lot,
measure from the center cap of your wheel to
lip of fender in the front and back. I think the
difference on mine was like 3.25" You can
always buy a 3" block and cut 1/2" off if you're
not satisfied. I had the heavy duty package,
so I dont know if that made a difference to the
height. (stiffer shocks??) Most trucks are
made 2" higher in the rear, but for some
reason Dodge trucks (especially the new ram)
sit way high in the rear.
