Subject: 2/4 Bags IP: Logged
Message: I want a 2/4 drop with bags. I only want to be able to do front and back with the bags, I dont need each corner on a seperate switch. I also want it to be bolt on, idont want to be doing any welding So what would be a decent setup for what I want? Will I need anything else other than the bags and the air setup?

Message: First off, if you just do bags in the front, that alone when deflated will drop you 4-6 inches depending on brand bag, size, and specifications. Firestone 2500's I think give 5 inch adjustablility. If you have a v8 you will probably need 2600 which might require cutting out the coil pocket to avoid rupturing the bag. They sell brackets for your truck. The top bolts in where the shock hole is and the bottom plate the bag sits on is strictly weld on only. You will then need to weld some relocated shock brackets to maintain decent ride. In the bag, you could go with that air ride assist thing on the market since you don't want much of a drop back there and its strictly bolt-on the side of the frame and on your leaves, but without a notch you won't sit that low....maybe 5-7 inches max with the bumpstops out. What you would have to do still is buy all your lowering pieces and lower the back as low as you would ever want it and then use the air assist to lift you up to a greater ride height. Hope this helps
