Subject: Battery Terminal IP: Logged
Message: The positive battery terminal is corroding to the point that i get no connection and have to pull it off and clean it about once a month. what is the problem, i have an amp and a horn hooked directly to the terminal, (three wires total).

Message: I had same problem with mine rececently. I also have an amp hooked up along with some PIAA lights. Don't know if this contributed to the problem or not. I replaced the clamps that go on the posts and covered everything metal with some sort of anti-corroding gel that I bought from an auto parts store and it has been perfect ever since.

Message: You can coat the battery terminals with a product found at the local auto store called Fluid Film,or you can use plain old vaseline applied with a small paint brush,just a thin coating should solve the problem.
