Subject: HELP!: Power Steering Pulley Removal IP: Logged
Message: Ok, how in the hell does this thing come off. It appears I need a screw (3/8"??) to be threaded inside the shaft and then the pulley should spin off?
Is there an easier way to do this and what tools/method should I use to get it off. The service manual doesn't mention anything on this procedure.

Message: They sell a special puller to remove those
pulleys and it works on many different brands of
autos that use the Saginaw Pump.
Do not try to use a general purpose gear puller
because it will damage the grove that the special
puller must grip.
The puller sells at most auto parts stores for
about $30.00 or if you have an AUTOZONE nearby
they loan them for FREE with a $40.00 deposit.
