I like the color. Maybe paint the mirrors the same. I don't like the Ramhead tailight covers but there isn't much else out there. Nice looking ride. Good work.

Hey nice truck.. nice stereo too.. but why all mtx.. i mean i know they are the only sub company out there who builds thier subs from step 1 to finish but there are more subs out there that sound better. what all do you have for a stereo .. what componets do you got??
not many ppl do the cutthrough like you and me.. anyways looks good.. keep it up..

Nachez, you are old! Why does a $12K system have to be trash? I bet it would bring that little toad stool of a pecker of yours to life if you had the chance to hear it. Just a little better then the factory stuff. LOL

The paint and the body work do look awesome. And though i'm not into giant stereo's like that I can respect how professionally done it looks. As long as I don't have to hear that one repetitive beat booming down the road.

The engine is just the 3.9. I bought it with intents to make it a stereo competition vehicle, not to drag race it. Now for that I just bought a new 02 about 3 months ago with a 4.7 and limited slip. Already have airaid intake flowmaster exhaust, and a 150 shot of NX - running 75 right now though. Let me just say that I am a professional competitor in the stereo business. I respect the fact that little 5 year old Jenny in the van next to me doesn't need to be hearing the F word from blaring rap. I save the window shattering for the lines. 165.7 DBs Right now, beat that.

Hmmm... Doesn't the CD changer skip? It's right back on the amp 'board'.
I had a system (not as nice as that) back 10 yrs ago-- I split my windshield with it. Sound pressure-- awesome... I do believe I have some high freq. hearing loss today--- Eh? what? hehe...

I know, I know Intense. I appoligize. I just thought he ws talking $hit insted of giving tips, ie saying it was getto to have a large stereo. Now that is crap. For those of you who ask why I chose MTX, well the 8000 series are the only sub out there that I ran accross that can handle 1000 watts and still got a 5 star rating for sound quality in audio mag tests/ openion. No the changer doesn't skip except in rare instnces. I had to get the changer cause the deck skiped at half volume and it is pioneers top of the line. I plan on taking this system out and putting it in my new extend cab, all in fiberglass. Hopefully in time for the next season.

You say 165.7,, Do you have slips to prove it.. im not saying you didnt so dont get all upset im just wondering if you have the proof on paper.. always good to see someone hitting that high but its the internet and you never know..LOL
And the cutthrough.. did you do it yourself.. as in cut the hole and carpet and build box.. do everything or did you have someone do it for you..
My friend owns the candian mtx stinger car.. 95 dodge avenger.. made for sq.. it sounds great.. i will give mtx the sq part but dont know about spl.. anymore detailed pics..

local guy - drives a big Power Ram. He came second
at last year's Audio Thunder with a 183.7!

thats neat im just always looking for proof of theese high numbers.. cause im seen some pretty outrageous stereos and not a single one has hit higher then 164.. and i know just how hard it is to hit that high.
what kind of meter were they using to measure his dbs.. cause diff types can measure diff levels.. the only time ive seen someone go higher then 164 is in outlaw where you can put the mic anywhere you want..

coool i check it out.. i like my stereo some ppl go extreme.. .. anyways..lol ive got something in the doings for a winter/spring project and release it in the summer for all to see..its gonna be neat.. all done by me with minimal help.. and im gonna try some fiberglassing i think.. anways if you can find those pages or anything on shows you covered i would really like to read them..

i have a blue 4.7 cc dakota,with wheels,system,and things done to motor,and my moms YELLOW ram 4x4 cc gets way more atention than my truck does and its stock everything,wanna know why it gets more atention,BECAUSE ITS BIG AND ITS YELLOW,girls love big yellow trucks,good color choice JESSE B,One more thing whats the loudest stereo DB's untill it causes hearing loss?I think its 160.0 correct me if i'm wrong.

Well I don't know about instant hearing loss, but during competition if you choose to sit in the vehicle with hearing protection and hit above 130 Dbs you get disqualified. Hearing loss is a progressive thing, like going to a club every weekend, ya know how your ears ring afterwards, I'm sure after a while it effects your ability to hear as well. I compete in street pro and outlaw. During outlaw is when I hit the high numbers of course. I will try to dig up the print out and scan it. I had all the work done by a local shop by a guy named Randy who owns exotica car audio, a chain of install/fab shops. His current vehicle is a VW Golf with 24 Memphis audio 12's. Don't ask me how they fit them in there. Thanks guys.

Do you like your checkmate? Mine leaks when I wash it and sometimes in heavy rain, which I don't like considering all the electronics in the bed. Also, the border around it wasn't a good design, in the corners the paint is chipping and I can only assume in the future it will look pretty bad. I think on my new truck I will put a slim top on. Any one have one or heard good/bad about them? Thanks again guys!!!

nice job. i like to look at/hear big systems but i will never put anything like that in a vehicle of mine. i'm very impressed. i don't care too much for the color but i have always been a fan of black vehicles. (my dak is black :)) i think i stand alone here but i actually like the ram's head tail light covers and plan on getting some. good luck on future comps.

DirtySouthDon and Bryan, I really appreciate that. I too had a black vehicle and man oh man did it look awsome when it was freshly waxed, but it was a pain to keep it that way. I vowed to never have another. I have 2 dakotas. 1 for sound and 1 for performance. My other one is a 02' CC with a bunch of goodies including a 150hp shot from NX. I just wrecked it though so I am waiting on cervinis new body kit before I fix it. I wasn't a huge fan of the covers at first, but they were a gift from my fiencee and if I planed on getting laid, I better put them on if you get my drift. But they grew on me and I began to love them. Thanks again guys.
