Message: Well if it is under warranty take it back to the dealer.
If not it could be anything from one of the sensors to the Clock Spring in the steering wheel.
There isn't alot that could go wrong with the System. Most of the time it is the Clock Spring in the steering wheel.
If you don't have a understanding of how the Supplementarry Restraint System works and the DANGERS that come with it DO NOT ATEMPT TO WORK ON IT!
Take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

Message: I agree with JRM...airbags and ABS are two things I won't touch on a vehicle.
And JRM...your e-mail address says you're at Kunsan? I'm up the road a bit in Seoul. I'm surprised to see someone else in Korea surfing the boards.

Message: Yeah I'm at Kunsan. I have about 90 days left then I can go back home and get to see, touch, and feel my truck again. LOL It has been sitting sence last Jan.
I found this place last July and I have been in here all the time. My 97 R/C Dakota has a 3.9 V-6 in it but I plain on putting a 5.9 V-8 in it.
Plus me being a Auto Mechanic I work on this stuff everyday so I like to help when I can in here too.

Message: not sure what year you have but on my 01 whenever i take the dash apart to work on the radio or whatever if you forget to plug the connector for the passenger airbag control (on/off) the light will come on. i have done this before. so if you did any work on it that could be the problem. but like the others said i wouldnt check anything else but that.

Message: JRM,
I know what you mean. I've been missing my truck, and I've only been here just under 90 days!!! Driving my little Hyundai around here just isn't the same. But at least I get to see Dodges & other non-local vehicles now almost daily...there's a green Dakota RC in my apartment building, a red Durango and white new Ram I see all the time, and a new black RC 4X4 that almost caused me to get into an accident because I was trying to get a better look.
Hope you enjoy your time left here.
