I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?

Message: Tinybaum, first, try going to a 180 t-stat, try a set Autolite 3923 plugs, and check and see if your intake manifold's plenum gasket is blown (shine a light down the bore's of the TB, and see if there is any oil residue on the bottom of the manifold).
The first two suggestions, should gain you some HP as well as help reduce your pinging, if there is oil residue in the manifold, you'll have to pull it out, and replace the plenum (belly-pan) gasket.

Message: Also, try the plug wire reroute. There is a TSB on this. Sounds like a bad belly pan gasket, however.
