I went to the local Dodge dealer on a whim to see if they had any info on the 2003 Rams with the Hemi. No info, but they had one on the lot. I must say that the 2500 is huge and it's a good thing they put grab handles in it so I could get in. I also really liked seeing the HEMI badge on the fender.
It was a bit of a rough ride, but it was 4x4 so I can't complain. First off it's like being in a semi atleast compaired to the dak. Unfortunatly I couldn't get into it too much. I had the salesman worried enough when I took it up to 50 at about half throttle.
The only thing I can really campair it to is it feels kind of like a late model Intrepid. It seemed to have a similar power/weight ratio. The braking wasn't too impressive. There was wone time when I was starting to wonder if it was going to stop.
It had an extremely nice exaust note to it which was also suprising. There was no MPG rating on the sticker so I can only assume it gets no miles to the gallon like the old hemi's. The sticker was $33k and the dealer was made it clear how firm he was since they are somewhat in demand.
I had to make it sound believable by telling them I was thinking of trading the dak for one. I feel dirty now, so very very dirty.
