Subject: Headliner Sag IP: Logged
Message: When I got in my truck this morning, I noticed that the headliner had started sagging in two places .. about a foot dia just behind the front window and a patch a couple feet across at the back.
Question: How the heck do I fix it? My first thought is .. syringe and glue?
Suggestions/Instructions would be appreciated!

Message: Go to a craft store (if you're too macho, have your girlfriend/wife go in) and get a can of spray glue. 3M makes some. Pull the entire headliner off and spray it to stick it back up.

Message: Take the headliner out completely. It's easy after you remove the trim around the outside.
Slowly pull back the loose area and use spray adhesive for that area.
If you can it would be better to remove all the headliner material and glue it all back.
When removing the material from the backing (foam) be real carefull not to tear the foam up while pulling on the still glued material. You can lay a real hot towel on any places where it doesn't want to come off and that will help. Wet the towel and place in the microwave to get it real hot.
Most places where I live charge around $50.00 to replace the liner with new material.

Message: Thanks all. Looks like I will be *headlinering this we end.
This afternoon I took a look at the trim .. and eyeballing the tweeters eyeballing me back from the trim on the A-pillars. Hmmmm .. suspect .. I should take time to install quick disconnect terminals so I can permanently attach the wiring ...
What fun! :)

Message: try not closing your windows all the way on a hot day, the combination of high heat build up and hi humidity disolves the glue that the interior parts supplier used. Contact LEAR CORPORATION with complaints on this as they are the interior plastic supplier to Dodge.

Message: taking it out is pretty easy
side front pillar covers pop out,
trick of da trade -- the mirror and clothes hooks have a outside cover - pop the outside cover off with a small flat screwdriver and it releases the inside holder,
new headliner is $150 or so wholeasale

Message: I cheated .. for a while. I was a PepBoys (looking for something totally different) .. and found something called "Saggy Stopper's". They are like strange thum-tacks w/clear heads and a cork-screw. Worked great .. should hold until I have time to do it right.
